MOVE DAY

I will post some photos soon since we have moved all the big pieces of furniture into the house. We have draperies in most room, trash cans, most furniture in place except the chairs in front of the fireplace.

WOW

...I was speechless when I stepped onto the back patio to see the large orange sun setting in the western sky and the orange full moon rising in the eastern sky, same time, opposite ends of the sky....breathtaking...awesome....unbelieveable!

I have never seen this before...didn't think it was possible to see....both beautiful, so beautiful that I kept turning my head from side to side to look at each. WOW ...what else can you say? Has anyone else seen this?

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

...it's hard to believe we are one week into a New Year..and the changes continue. The contractors are having a slow start as no one showed up on January 3rd for work...or the 4th....and so after many calls, Jim Donaldson reported that the cabinets are still not complete. Disappointed.....but it made for an easy decision to return to Shreveport and WAIT. We plan to return at the end of the month, that is if the floors are finished and then we can begin to move furnishings into the Gathering House/Main House.

I am having mixed emotions about all this...and I am not sure I can explain it. The house is beautiful and well done, classic, timeless...truly a work of art per my friend, Dianne Gosslee. However I am at the brink of tears most days....not sure I understand how all this happened. Humble to have the opportunity to create, to see this home realized in respect to what was only in my mind's eye. Emotional about the possibilites....the present, the future. Emotional about the gifts....many many gifts...
